Facial Rejuvenation

What are the benefits of Facial Acupuncture?

Facial acupuncture, also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture, helps to improve the blood flow to the face, resulting in increased collagen production, improved skin tone, a brighter complexion, improved elasticity, and reduced fine lines and wrinkles. During a facial acupuncture session, the microcirculation created by the needles encourages detoxification of the skin, helping to eliminate redness and reduce inflammation. This technique is not just beneficial for those wanting to maintain a youthful appearance, facial acupuncture can also treat acne, eczema, rosacea, and can benefit stroke or bell’s palsy patients by reviving muscle tone and improving facial symmetry.

Facial Acupuncture is a safe, chemical free, and a natural and effective approach to facial and skin health. It is much less invasive and more cost-effective than plastic surgery or injectables, and a better alternative to toxic chemical treatments.

What is the difference between regular acupuncture and cosmetic acupuncture?

Although cosmetic acupuncture specifically focuses on improving the complexion, elasticity, and skin tone, treatments include acupuncture points to help balance your overall constitution. During your first Facial Acupuncture visit, we briefly discuss your health history in order to customize a plan to treat your whole body, as the well-being of your mind, body and spirit are very much connected to your overall skin health.

What can I expect during a session?

Each session typically lasts about 75-minutes. During your facial acupuncture appointment, we incorporate herbal, jade facial rolling, and a combination of facial jade guasha, gentle scraping to encourage circulation, micro-currents, and massage. You can expect to leave each visit feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

How many visits will I need to achieve lasting results?

For patients new to facial acupuncture, we recommend beginning your treatment plan with a set of 5 but ideally 10-treatments, ideally twice-per-week for the first few weeks. Frequent treatments allow the body and face to adjust to and better maintain it’s new “balanced” state. Once you’ve completed your initial treatment, you will come in on a maintenance-basis which may be once-a-month, or once every 2-3 months.
